Cranfield University has launched the Green Technologies (GreenTech) Grand Challenge Webinar Series to help accelerate the development and implementation of environmentally sustainable technologies that can increase businesses competitiveness, stimulate innovation, boost economic growth, and create jobs to a wide range of strategically important UK industries.

Join our first interactive GreenTech webinar, presenting the project 'Small and Beautiful', funded by EPSRC.

The project introduces a new philosophy in the manufacturing sector for improving energy and resource efficiency. The project focuses on the foundry sector encouraging the use of high-quality feedstock, only melting what is required and only when it is required.

The full energy chain from charge materials through to waste heat and energy is also considered in the process, with the identifications of the opportunities for scavenging waste heat and the costs associated with the whole process.
