Our annual conference of the UK Wastewater Network has moved online!
This conference is the eighth of an annual series addressing innovative treatment options for wastewater.
Despite a recent move to a fully virtual event for the first time in eight years, it will remain an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn more about the latest challenges and innovations for wastewater treatment at present and in the longer term, and interact on the topic with scientists and researchers from wastewater companies and leading global academic institutions.
The event will have a great mixture of international speakers, both academics and industry leaders, discussing challenges and innovations for wastewater treatment on current and longer term scenarios.
This year the conference will focus on the new economies of wastewater treatment.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Professor Korneel Rabaye, Ghent University (Belgium) on microbial protein production;
- Dr Ilje Pikaar, The University of Queensland (Australia) on coagulant recovery;
- Dr David Spurgeon, The UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UK) on nanomaterials and plastics in sewage and sludge, and risks to soil invertebrates;
- Dr Andrew McLeod, Jacobs (UK) on UK water net zero carbon;
- Professor Ewan McAdam, Cranfield University (UK) on the ammonia economy.
