Cranfield University has been awarded £593,414 from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) to deliver a programme of work between 1 April 2022 - 31 March 2025. IAA activities are one of the funding mechanisms available for supporting knowledge exchange, innovation and impact activities to further develop the outputs of academic research towards having an impact in end-user communities.

Cranfield is using this funding to accelerate the impact derived from its EPSRC-remit research portfolio through a number of routes, including:

  • Support for activities that will lead to the commercialisation of outputs developed within EPSRC-remit research;
  • Support for secondments into or from organisations to develop end uses for EPSRC-remit research outputs.

Cranfield academics who are committed to developing the impact and commercial potential of EPSRC-remit research outputs are encouraged to submit project proposals for IAA funding, usually collborating with external non-academic partners to generate impact from their research outside academia.
