The connections you make during your studies are part of what makes the Cranfield experience special, and we understand how important it is to help you to stay in touch after you’ve graduated. By making use of our lifelong email forwarding service, your Cranfield email address can follow you wherever your next steps might take you. It’ll help you to be recognised as a Cranfield graduate when you’re making connections, and you can make sure that fellow alumni and classmates can still contact you. Our alumni often talk about the power and value of the Cranfield alumni network, and you never know when that familiar name popping up in your inbox might come in handy.
As a Cranfield alumnus you have access to the free Email4Life forwarding service so that you can continue to receive messages to a Cranfield email address after you have completed your studies. There are two separate services, depending on how long it has been since you completed your studies, and each must be set up separately with your student credentials (not alumni) to be effective.

Getting set up: During your studies and up to the date your results are confirmed
During your studies and up to the date your results are confirmed (or up to 90 days from the date your course finishes – whichever is soonest) you can set up email forwarding so that any emails received to your Cranfield email address can be received at your personal email address. This can be set up and managed via your EVE account. This email forwarding will last for 12 months after you have completed your studies.
12 months after you have completed your studies
After 12 months from the date your course finished, the original email forwarding service outlined above will be terminated. However, the University offers a lifelong email forwarding service for alumni – Email4Life – so that you can stay connected. In setting up this service, you will be allocated a new email address based on your year of study – for example: “firstname.surname@alumni2014.cranfield.ac.uk”. During the 12 months that you may still be receiving emails to the email address you were allocated during your studies, you should ensure that those using that address are made aware of the new “@alumni[year].cranfield.ac.uk” address so that you can continue to receive their emails going forward.
Important information
Each forwarding service will be effective from the moment that they are set up in EVE and therefore care should be taken not to arrange forwarding until you are happy that the emails will not be visible via the mailbox.
If you have any questions or need any help with setting up your email forwarding service, please do contact the Alumni team and and we will be happy to help. If you are have forgotten your student credentials please contact the IT Service Desk via email.
