HM The King's first Official Birthday Honours List awards more than 1,000 recipients for their outstanding contributions across all sectors and parts of the UK. The honours system recognises people who have made achievements to public life and committed themselves to serving and helping Britain.

This year's awards also included a renewed focus on those who have had a profoundly positive impact on how society faces up to the most challenging issues of the modern era.

Thirteen Cranfield alumni have been recognised for extraordinary achievements and service to society:

  • Ann Bentley CBE (Management Development Programme 2006) CBE for services to Construction.
  • General Sir Mark Carleton-Smith, GCB, CBE (MA Military Studies 1996) appointed Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath.
  • Garry Forsyth KPM (CBRN 2008) King's Police Medal.
  • Brigadier Andrew Garner CBE (BSc Information Systems Management 2000) appointed Commander.
  • Colonel Tobias Lambert OBE (MSc Battlespace Technology 2013) appointed Officer.
  • Lieutenant Colonel Ian Lamont MBE (MSc Battlespace Technology 2011) appointed Member.
  • Brigadier Anna Luedicke OBE CBE (MSc Defence Logistics Management 2002) appointed Commander.
  • Maxine Pritchard MBE (MSc Retail and Digital Banking 2024) MBE for services to vulnerable people.
  • Michael Rose OBE (BGP 2012)  OBE for services to animation.
  • Brigadier Toby Rowland CBE (MSc Defence Logistics Management 2001) appointed member.
  • Major Helen Stamp MBE (MSc Geospatial Intelligence 2011) appointed member.
  • Major General Colin Weir CB DSO MBE (MA Military Studies 2004) appointed Companion of the Order of the Bath.
  • Patrick Dunne OBE (MBA 1985) OBE for services to charity and to Philanthropy in Africa and the UK.
