- Samer Majali (MSc Air Transport Management 1983) has been appointed President/CEO at Royal Jordanian airlines
- Izidoro Vignola (Operations Strategy), Co-Founder of PGIFarma and Visus Integrate, has been named by Farmacore Biotecnologia as part of a consortium of partners working on the development of the Versamune®-CoV-2FC vaccine.
- Dr Dhanapala Jayakody Arachchige (PhD Air Transport) features in an article: ‘From apprentice to a commission in the royal air force’.
- Joanna Franco-Wheeler (MBA 2021), Director of Organisational Development and Diversity at Inmarsat, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Directory on Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s Supervisory Board.
- Broen Le Diodic (MSc Automotive Engineering 2016) features in an article discussing his business, Breizh Trax, and what led him to decide not to pursue a career in automotive engineering and put his skills to use creating sports equipment, street furniture and other products such as stairgates instead.
- Anatoly Silko (MBA 2019) features in an interview with Startup, discussing his business Rocking Tech.
- Robert Ledward-Smith (Finance Fundamentals for Growing Businesses, 2017; Talent Development Programme 2020)General Manager of Champneys Tring resort, features on Boutique Hotelier’s ‘Power List’. Robert attended Cranfield School of Management through a St Julian Scholarship in 2019.
- Karen Adie (MSc Management 2014), Director of Merchant Services at TradeDepot, features in an interview with Business Day Nigeria.
- Jeff Delaune (MSc Astronautics and Space Engineering 2009), an engineer working on the Mars Ingenuity drone project, features in a profile published by Maville.
- Dr Ava Patricia Avila (PhD Defence and Security 2010) features in an interview published by E-International Relations.
- Sanjay Kapoor (MBA 1997) features on a list of 35 candidates for membership on STC’s board of directors.
- Ander Iturri (MSc Astronautics and Space Engineering 2012) has been appointed as the new Director of Mobility.
- Ahmad Lawan (PhD Applied Remote Sensing 1991) has been conferred with an honorary fellowship award of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors.
- Siti Juita (PhD Aerospace 2016), the first woman in Malaysia to obtain a professional drone licence, is encouraging more women to engage with the field of drone technology.
- Sandra Façanha (MSc Logistics and Transportation 1997) features in an article discussing how Covid-19 has changed the logistics network.
- Mark Morley (MSc Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing 1992) has co-authored an article published by Industry Today discussing how investment in Internet of Things, AI and cloud technologies can help companies to gain the visibility and connectivity to adjust to crises.
- Paula Bellostas (MBA 2010) features in a profile published by Diario de Navarra after she was recently made partner at Kearney.
- Ricardo Ortega (MSc Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology 2014), who is leading the study of Egyptian mummies that will be displayed at The Great Museum of Cairo, features in an interview with Quo.
- Debra Charles (Business Growth Programme 2007) will be appearing as a panellist at the Institute of Directors East Midlands Diversity in Leadership Convention on 23 April.
- Dr Linda Alrabady (PhD Reliability Engineering and Artificial Intelligence 2015) has written an article for Industry Today discussing how the oil and gas industries can bring unplanned downtime under control.
- Priscilla Schelp (MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management 2014, current PhD Leadership and Management student) will be moderating the first day of the Connecting Summit 2021: "Sustainability and capitalism: the world post-pandemic" on 27 April.
- Tobi Elusakin (MSc Offshore and Ocean Technology with Subsea Engineering 2017, current PhD Energy and Power student) has written an article discussing energy efficiency in commercial and residential buildings for the UK Energy Research Centre.
- Olivier Guibert (MBA 1998) features in a bio on the IOT Council Members page. In addition to being on the Council, he is CEO of AsiaiGo Growth Partners.
- Dino Toso (MSc Aerodynamics) features in an article published by Autosport: “The hidden hero behind Alonso’s Enstone F1 glory years.”
- Professor Peter Morrell (PhD Engineering 2003) discussing sources of airline financing post-Covid-19 in an article published by Airliners.de
- Ageeth van Maldegem (PhD Leadership and Management 2020) features in an article discussing what SMEs need to know about the future needs of customers.
- Marta Ferran Marques (MSc Aerospace Materials 2018, current PhD Manufacturing student) has written an article published by The Successful Founder, discussing her journey to studying at Cranfield, what inspired her to get into aerospace and being a part of the first all-female ‘mission to mars’ crew.
- Alastair Watson (MBA 1989) is the conservative party candidate in the running to be the Mayor of Bristol.
- Michael Driver (MSc by Research School of Applied Sciences 2002) has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Yorkshire Handmade Pies.
- Dr Nassar Ikram (MSc Military Electronic Systems Engineering 1994) has joined the University of Central Punjab as Pro-Rector.
- Ammar Hilal (Executive Development: Developing General Management Potential 2001) has been appointed by Accor as Managing Director of Raffles Dubai & Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk.
- Harold Nwariaku (MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management 2018) is leading a course in procurement management for Tekedia’s ‘mini MBA’ programme.
- Omobola Johnson (DBA 2013) has been appointed Board Chair at Guinness Nigeria.
- Dr Nkosana Moyo (MBA 1987) features in an interview discussing why he joined politics.
- Byron Burghart (MBA 2021) is part of a board of “champions” for the East Midland Chambers Generation Next network, with 11 individuals appointed to help shape the network’s activity and profile.
- Prashant Nikam (MBA 2008) has been appointed as Chairman at Sapio Analytics.
- Shukhrat Sadyrov (MSc Finance and Management 2007) has been appointed to the Supervisory Board at IDF Eurasia in Kazakhstan (Solva brand).
- Lieutenant General Sir Jim Hockenhull KBE (MA Military Studies 1996) has agreed to become a Patron of the Association of Security Consultants
- Siri Terjesen (PhD Leadership and Management 2005) features in a bio published by Mena FN.
- Sandra De Zoysa (Executive Development – Customer Experience Strategy, 2016) features in an interview with Technology Magazine, discussing her role as Chief Customer Officer at Dialog Axita and the growth of the Sri Lankan Telecom Industry.
- Robert Blakemore (Project Leadership Programme 2020) has written two blog posts for the Association of Project Management on managing structural change and being a change leader during turbulent times.
- Rosida Ismail (MSc Air Transport Management 2012) has been appointed as an air transport officer at the International Civil Aviation Organisation in Canada
- Kim Seok-Gyun (MSc Gas Turbine Technology Performance Engineering 1999) has been appointed Senior Vice President at Hanwha Systems UAM Division.
- Richard Gould (Military and Strategic Leadership 1996) has been appointed CEO at Bristol City football club, joining from Surrey County Cricket Club where he has been CEO since 2011.
- Laurence Gale (MSc Sports Surface Technology 2003), editor of TurfPro, has written a piece discussing the importance of lifetime learning for turf professionals.
- Francisco Javier Sánchez Segura (MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design 2001) has been appointed by Airbus as the new Executive Vice President of Engineering for the Defense and Space division, effective 1 July 2021.
- Tom Chatfield (Executive MSc Air Transport Management 2004) discusses internal aircraft cabin design in the Brief Encounters feature in Inflight.
- Atholl Duncan (Executive Development 2006) has written an article for Kivo Daily discussing the world of work after ‘the death of presenteeism’.
- Peter White (Talent Development Programme 2013) has been appointed as the General Manager of Ballyfin Demesne, a country house hotel in Ireland, ahead of its reopening.
- Dina Salman (MSc Air Transport Management 2013) has recorded a podcast with fellow alumna, Alice Ferrari (MSc Air Transport Management 2013). Alice is CEO of Kyte, a tech start-up shaking up the aviation industry. Tune in to hear Dina and Alice discuss building an empire in a pandemic and experiences of remote working.
- Delphine Gardere (MSc Strategic Marketing 2010), CEO, Rhum Barbancourt, features in an interview in Authority Magazine as part of their ‘5 things you need to know to create a very successful lifestyle brand’ series.
- Patrick Bosman (Executive MSc Air Transport Management 2012), Director of Global Standards at PHI Inc, has won the HeliOffshore Safety Champion Award 2021 for his leadership of the Helidecks workstream.

- Professor Olukayode Oladipo Amund (PhD Biotechnology 1982) Vice-Chancellor of Elizade University in Nigeria features in an article published by New Telegraph Nigeria discussing the merits of the University and Professor Amund’s 7-point plan to ensure it remains relevant in a competitive world.
- Chris Ashton (MBA 1995) features in an interview on the ‘World of Worley’ with Chair, John Grill, published by Company Director.
- Emma-Sue Prince (MBA 2000) discusses the importance of developing leadership skills, even if you’re not in a leadership role, in an article for Training Zone.
- Kellen Kariuki (MSc International Human Resource Management 2013) has been appointed Chair Person of the Board of Directors of Standard Chartered Bank Kenya.
- Andy Wood (DBA 2017), Chief Executive, Adnams, featured in a CBI broadcast on 2 June on the actions businesses can take to tackle climate change. In the session, Andy discussed ways Adnams is looking to reduce its beer brewing emissions and the importance of partnerships (referencing Cranfield as a key partner).
- Dr Jelena Petrovic (PhD Leadership and Management 2006) is set to feature as a speaker on a Kingston University webinar tomorrow (8 June): “From Research to Practice Seminar: Influential HR in an unpredictable world.”
- Hugh Pelham (MBA 1995) features in a profile article published by In Cumbria: ‘Meet Carr’s new CEO Hugh Pelham’.
- Pietro Geremia (MSc Finance and Management 2011) has been appointed President and CEO of San Marco Group, taking over from his father Federico.
- Karl Palmstorfer (General Management Programme 2015), Head of International Business Europe, Middle East and Africa at Trox Austria, features in a profile published by LeadersNet.
- Cheyenne Powell (MSc Astronautics and Space Engineering 2019) features in the Jamaica Observer discussing how she became passionate about pursuing a career in astronautics.
- Martin Reeves (MBA 1989) has co-authored a book, The Imagination Machine: How to spark new ideas and create your company’s future. Porchlight are currently running a giveaway of the book.
- Supli Rahim (MSc Land and Waste Management 1987) reflects on his experience of moving to the UK to study at Cranfield in a blog post published on Kompasiana.
- Pauline Lokidor (MSc Environmental Water Management) features in MK Citizen. Pauline grew up in poverty in one of the driest regions of Kenya, having to balance going to school with collecting water from the well and herding her family’s animals. As a child she was sponsored by World Vision, and despite encountering many obstacles was able to pursue an education and eventually secured a place to study for her MSc at Cranfield University. She is now studying for her PhD at Coventry University and hopes to return to her home town to develop sustainable solutions to water scarcity.
- Iñaki Rueda (MSc Motorsport Engineering and Management 2004) has been appointed as the new Sports Director at Ferrari F1, a promotion from his previous role as Strategy Director.
- Anino Emuwa (MBA 1992) features in an interview with Business Day Nigeria, discussing her career and how she set up Avandis Consulting.
- Richard Minney (MSc Computer Integrated Manufacturing 1991) has published an eBook with iBE.net, New Rules: Running Your Business From the Cloud’.
- Senthilkumar Sivakumar (MSc Safety and Human Factors in Aviation 2018) has been appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) in Dehradun, India.
- Professor Kamran Razmdoost (MSc Strategic Marketing 2010, PhD Leadership and Management 2014) has been appointed Dean of ESCP Business School’s London campus.
- Yewande Akinola (MSc Innovation and Design for Sustainability 2012) features in an interview with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers discussing her career and how engineering can be used as a tool for creating a better world.
- Gabriel Patricínio (PhD Design Policies 2013) is presenting a webinar on ‘Beer and design’ on 18 June as part of a virtual format of the annual Design Petrópolis, usually held in Rio, which showcases the work of designers in specialised sectors.
- Enrique Garcia and Idriss Sisaïd (MSc Astronautics and Space Engineering 2014) are mentioned by Maxime Cousins in an interview with Les Echos where he describes how he joined their start-up company, the idea for which emerged during their studies at Cranfield, as an intern and eventually became CEO.
- Peter Griffiths (Aircraft Accident Investigation), Director General of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan features in an interview with AviaPort.
- Sara Silva (Transition to Advanced Management 2009) has been appointed as the new Director of Human Relations at L'Oréal Portugal.
- Barry O’Connell (Supply Chain for General Managers) has been appointed Chairman of GOAL, a humanitarian aid agency.
- Dr Constantinos Franceskides (MSc Forensic Engineering and Science 2012, PhD Defence and Security 2018) will be speaking at a webinar on 29 June discussing the science behind understanding whether a reported injury is consistent with the incident or accident.
- Atholl Duncan (Executive Development 2000-2006) features in a podcast interview with Enterprise Podcast Network, discussing leadership for the post-pandemic future. Atholl has also recently published a new book Leaders in Lockdown: Inside Stories of COVID-19 and the New World of Business.
- Jessica Parrish (Executive MBA 2018) features in an interview with The Successful Founder.
- Dr Ije Jidenma (Finance for the Boardroom 2014) has been elected as the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria.
- Francisco Javier Sanchez Segura (MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design 2001) features in a profile on the Airbus website - he is Executive Vice-President Engineering, Airbus Defence and Space.
- George Mavrocostas (BSc Aeronautical Engineering, MSc Aerodynamics 1978) has been appointed CEO of Cyprus Airways.
