Cranfield alumna Neha Chauhan (MSc Thermal Power 2017), Co-Founder, Aviotron Automations, has been named as one of nine finalists in this year’s Study UK Alumni Awards in India.
These prestigious international awards recognise and celebrate UK higher education, and the achievements of UK alumni across the globe. The finalists in the Study UK Alumni Awards in India have been selected in recognition of their outstanding impact as business leaders, entrepreneurs and community leaders, and for their contribution to strengthening collaboration between the UK and India.
Neha has been selected as a finalist for the Entrepreneurial Award – which celebrates alumni who actively drive innovation, nurture creative new ideas and develop solutions or business opportunities with the potential for strong growth. An engineer with a passion for taking seemingly complex problems and forming unique solutions, Neha has been shortlisted for this award in recognition of her role as Co-Founder of Aviotron Automations – working to impart practical, skills-based knowledge to young people in trending technology areas such as aeromodelling and robotics. Neha won the Best Indian Start-Up award at the Dubai Annual Investment Meeting Congress in 2019 and has been invited to the next Global Aviation Summit as a special invitee.
Discussing this year’s finalists, Barbara Wickham OBE, Director India, British Council, said: “The remarkable individuals selected as finalists for the Study UK Alumni Awards in 2021 have all taken their UK education as a starting point to excel in their chosen careers and shape the world around them. This year’s finalists are testimony not only to the diversity of UK alumni and their endeavours, but also to the transformative impact of a UK education.”
The winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Friday 26 March 2021.
Congratulations to Neha Chauhan on being named as a finalist – we wish her the very best of luck for the announcement of the winners!
