Alumni mentoring scheme

We’re excited to be introducing a Career mentoring programme to connect Cranfield Water and MBA alumni with enthusiastic students who can truly benefit from your expertise.

The programme aims to bring bright and motivated students together with industry professionals in a mentoring partnership. Mentoring provides an opportunity for you to guide and inspire these students in developing their career by sharing your experience and advice. It’s also a great chance for you to develop key skills to help you progress in your own career, such as leadership, and to gain a fresh perspective on your industry and experiences.

While the scheme is currently only open to Water and MBA students and alumni, we do aim to widen participation in the scheme further in due course – so do stay in touch for future opportunities to get involved.

Support our Management MSc students with an internship project

The Cranfield Management MSc includes a three-month internship placement within a business organisation, and often alumni volunteer to provide internships and projects for our current students.

These placements give students the opportunity to gain invaluable practical experience in a real working environment and obtain key insights into a business sector. They also give businesses the opportunity to fill a short-term skills gap or vacancy, with a talented individual who can inject fresh ideas, knowledge and up-to-date theoretical concepts into their organisation.

“The student brings fresh ideas, excellent education, the latest management models/frameworks – all this goes a long way to improve motivation as it’s invariably a refreshing experience to work with one of these guys.”
Richard Brooks (MBA 2005, BGP 2013), CEO, K-International Ltd

Interested in offering your support? For more information, please contact the Internships and Projects Manager, Hannah Piazza.

Share your Cranfield experience with potential students by providing a testimonial

By sharing insights into your Cranfield experience, you can inspire prospective students and help them to understand where their course might take them. Many of our students say it was hearing from our alumni that made them choose Cranfield – if you’re willing to help us to bring the best and brightest students into our Cranfield community, simply fill out a testimonial form.

Other ways to support Cranfield

If the opportunities above aren’t quite right for you, there are numerous other ways that you can get involved and stay connected with Cranfield.
