Pro-Vice-Chancellor – Research and Innovation and member of the University Executive

As Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, Leon is responsible for developing the future strategic direction of research provision and innovation across the University.

Leon's personal scholarship has been driven by a need to preserve and maintain the quality and safety of food by better understanding the physiological, pathological, biochemical and molecular changes which occur after harvest in order to reduce food losses and waste.

He graduated from Imperial College London, and completed his MSc and PhD in Postharvest Technology at Cranfield University.
