Cranfield University has a vibrant international community and is historically a popular destination for students from Uganda. We currently have 16 students from Uganda studying with us.
As an exclusively postgraduate university, Cranfield represents a unique offering for Ugandan students thinking of studying in the UK. Ugandan students at Cranfield benefit from excellent teaching delivered by our world-renowned academics, state-of-the art facilities and real-life industry projects with leading global organisations.
In 2015, Cranfield University has received the prestigious award in recognition of its education and research on water and sanitation for developing countries over a 25-year period. One of the projects acknowledged as part of the award includes the innovative Nano Membrane Toilet which the university has pioneered in conjunction with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. We have the same minimum entry requirements for most of our taught and research programmes.
Some courses may have additional entry requirements, so please check the specific course you are interested in before submitting your application.
English language requirements

Country visits
Representatives from Cranfield regularly visit Uganda. We attend education exhibitions, visit universities and talk to prospective students and their families.

Funding Opportunities
Cranfield partners with a number of in-country funding bodies, Government agencies, academic institutions and NGOs to set up dedicated Scholarships. These are in addition to Scholarships offered by the British Council.
Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme: Students from developing countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK can apply for Commonwealth Shared Scholarships for master’s study, jointly supported by Cranfield University.
