Message to new students

We are delighted you are considering Cranfield University.

Please keep looking at your course page on our website to make sure you have the most up-to-date information.

Our admissions team and your admission tutor or course director/supervisor are your key contacts. They will be on hand to support you with your pre-registration requirements and any further questions.

What will my course look like in September/October 2020?

We have developed plans that have enabled us to adapt our courses for a September or October start date. Those plans are firmly focused on retaining everything that makes Cranfield courses special. We are working closely with the industry partners who support our courses, and the professional bodies who accredit them, to agree new approaches that will make your Cranfield degree as distinctive as ever.

Please be assured that at least 70% of the hours that would normally be delivered face-to-face over the duration of your full-time MSc course at Cranfield campus will remain face-to-face, without compromising your health and safety.

Working online has triggered us to be more conclusive in our group project meetings, leading them to be more productive and efficient. We have had the opportunity to prove another way of working where every single moment has been meaningful, and we have taken full advantage of it.

What will my student experience be like?

We know that students come to Cranfield because of the quality of our courses and research, our close engagement with business and a deep understanding of the challenges they face.

You can be assured of exceptional teaching standards, easy access to our leading academics and to industrially-relevant course content whether you are with us on campus, or learning off campus before you join us in the UK.

We fully understand the value you place on our style of teaching. We will be looking to enrich the industry-facing components of our courses and their relevance to the business sectors we work with, improving your employability when you leave Cranfield.

A welcoming, safe environment

We can assure you of a welcoming, safe and secure campus.

We have thorough cleaning regimes in place and these are supported by robust procedures and training for our campus services and facilities staff. For new students arriving at Cranfield later this year, we will continue to reinforce health and social distancing guidelines as they apply.

One of the great advantages of our Cranfield campus has always been our rural and family-oriented environment, allowing you to concentrate on your studies.

Throughout the current crisis, we have continued to provide strong support to our student community. Read our latest student eBulletin (some links open in Cranfield intranet).

Keeping in touch

We will be keeping in regular touch with you as our plans for September/October are formalised, and please continue to talk to us about anything that you need – we’re here to help.
