How can my school/group get involved in events or activities that Cranfield are running?

We love hearing from people who are excited about getting involved in STEM activities with us. Some of the activities that we are running are advertised here in the events section but if you want to speak to us about getting involved in future activity that you don’t see listed, please get in touch by emailing cranfieldcommunity@cranfield.ac.uk. We will add you to our list of participating schools/groups and can notify you of activities that are open for taking part in.

What impact has Covid-19 had on community and public engagement, can I still get involved?

Covid-19 has been a challenge for all of us and has meant that some face-to-face activities we had planned had to be cancelled. However, we are busy working on activities for early 2021 that we can deliver online so do keep an eye on the events section for details.

As well as activity we had planned ourselves, we are of course still taking part in other great online events such as British Science Week. Details of these kinds of events and activities are also detailed in the events section.

How can I get involved in STEM at home?

Visit our Resources Hub for activities that can be downloaded to do at home. The hub is new and we will be adding activities to it over time so keep checking back to see what’s new over the coming weeks and months!

I have an idea for an event/I am a representative of a planned event, who can I talk to?

Whilst we can’t get involved in everything we would love to hear about your ideas and are happy to help if it’s something that is aligned to our core activity so do get in touch – cranfieldcommunity@cranfield.ac.uk.

Can Cranfield help run an activity for my school/group?

At the moment we are not able to visit individual schools/groups for outreach activity because of Covid-19 but we hope to be resuming this kind of work as soon as it is safe to do so. Get in touch if you would like to talk to us about working with your school/group on a specific activity – cranfieldcommunity@cranfield.ac.uk.

Do you have STEM Ambassadors at Cranfield University?

We have lots of really passionate staff and researchers who volunteer their time as part of the STEM Ambassadors programme. You can find out more about the programme and how to get STEM Ambassadors involved in your activities on their website.
