The University hosts events on campus as well as attending events with key partners as part of initiatives to support schools, families and the public to engage with STEM.

National Engineering Day – Wednesday 1 November 2023

This annual day is all about changing perceptions of engineering and this year the Royal Academy of Engineering is using National Engineering Day to highlight the vital role engineers play in creating sustainable solutions for the future and how we can ‘engineer a more sustainable everyday’. We will be supporting the day by sharing our stories about people and research at Cranfield helping to engineer a more sustainable day but check out the Academy’s website for lots of resources and inspiration about engineering out future!

As part of National Engineering Day, there is also a fantastic competition open to all ages – to send in your own idea or prototype for an everyday sustainability innovation – find out more about the Everyday Engineering competition and the amazing prizes!
