National Engineering Day – Wednesday 1 November 2023
This annual day is all about changing perceptions of engineering and this year the Royal Academy of Engineering is using National Engineering Day to highlight the vital role engineers play in creating sustainable solutions for the future and how we can ‘engineer a more sustainable everyday’. We will be supporting the day by sharing our stories about people and research at Cranfield helping to engineer a more sustainable day but check out the Academy’s website for lots of resources and inspiration about engineering out future!
As part of National Engineering Day, there is also a fantastic competition open to all ages – to send in your own idea or prototype for an everyday sustainability innovation – find out more about the Everyday Engineering competition and the amazing prizes!
In 2022 the Royal Academy of Engineering’s theme for the day was about ‘improving lives through engineering’. To celebrate, we wanted to highlight just a few of our awesome technical colleagues to help change perceptions of engineering – explore our technician profiles to discover how they help to make improvements to day-to-day lives and tackle the big challenges of our time. #EngineerBetterLives
