We are part of a collaborative project involving 14 business schools which is examining how European Union policy can encourage its citizens to come up with innovations which will help us live more sustainable lives.

At a glance

A large multi-country project called EU-InnovatE, involving 14 European business schools, is being funded under the Sustainable Lifestyles and the Green Economy in Europe theme. It is finding out how European Union policy can encourage its citizens to come up with innovations which will help us live more sustainable lives.

The three-year research project, being led by Technology University Munich, is focused on energy, food, housing and mobility.

The futures’ work on sustainable consumption builds on previous European Union research on aspirational scenarios called SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050.

Progress update

We are leading the quantitative work on the modelling of the impact of sustainable user innovation and related policy interventions towards sustainable targets.

We have developed an integrated domain model which can be run at any geographical scale, or for any future, to show systemic outcomes and the systemic consequence of user innovations and interventions at different scales.
