Contact Dr Jesus Nieto Martin
Dr Jesus Nieto Martin is a Visiting Fellow with the Complex Systems Research Centre, Infrastructure Systems Group at Cranfield School of Management.
His research is related to modelling evolutionary systems under uncertainty. In his industry collaborations, Dr Nieto Martin has contributed modelling and evaluating long-term investment portfolios for electrical transportation, city planning, as well as retailing. Other areas of research include modelling complexity using Bayesian Networks and online algorithmic decision-making.
Dr Nieto Martin previously held the position of Senior Research Fellow with the Infrastructure Systems Group and worked on the EPSRC/Energy Systems Catapult Whole Energy Systems Study: "System Transition to Digital Energy." Prior to that he was a Visiting Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the U.S.
He holds an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Seville, and a MSc and PhD - "Evolutionary Optimisation of Power systems" - from Cranfield University
