‘Most people do not listen with the intent to understand, they listen with the intent to reply’ – Stephen Covey

Developing our listening skills not only saves time and money, it enables others to feel valued as a human being. And when we feel valued, we add value to ourselves, others and our families and organisations. As we continue to prepare for hybrid working arrangements and deal effectively with uncertainty, we will want to mitigate misunderstandings and create opportunities for others to feel valued and positively impact their lives. Listening to others enables their greater resilience, mental strength and more successful change in behaviour, habits, and ways of working as we gain greater understanding of who they are, what they need and how they will more easily navigate change.

Our host for our webinar is Jane Adshead-Grant (Executive Retreat 2006), an Award Winning Accredited Executive Coach helping you to develop your leadership, impact and advanced communication skills further. She is also the author of Are you listening or just waiting to speak and most recently The Listening Coach.

In attending this, often fully booked, session you will:

  1. Review how good a listener you are!
  2. Discover 5 Levels of listening applicable in your everyday life
  3. Reflect on what stops you listening well and gain new insights
  4. Understand and easily apply 4 key skills of listening that will increase your impact
