Who can act as a Cranfield Sponsor?
Cranfield Sponsors must be permanent members of academic staff at Cranfield University. They are most likely a senior member of staff with significant experience as a Principal Investigator on research proposals. Details about Cranfield members of staff, including their areas of expertise can be found through the 'Find an Expert' facility on the Cranfield University website.
Can Cranfield help me find an Industrial Sponsor?
Applicants to the part-funded fellowships with industry are expected to identify their industrial sponsor independently prior to applying to the scheme.
Can the 75th Anniversary Fellowship be held part-time?
75th Anniversary Fellowships can be held part-time, but must be the only form of employment. The request for a part-time research fellowships must be made clear within the application. Alternatively, the fellowships can be converted from full-time to part-time or part-time to full-time during the fellowship, on agreement with the School the fellowship will be held in.
How long will the fellowship be for?
Successful fellowships will be awarded for a three-year duration.
What level of funding is available for this fellowship?
The fellowship scheme will provide salary for three years within Cranfield’s level 5 pay scale when fully funded. In addition there will be a contribution of £20,000 per fellow over the duration of the Fellowship for research, travel and training expenses.
Can I amend my application after submission?
