DRS (UK) Ltd, a leader in defence technology solutions and services, has joined Cranfield University’s Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) Centre as a new member, strengthening the Centre’s ability to apply this innovative technology across various sectors.

DRS UK Ltd, part of US based DRS Technologies Inc (a subsidiary of Finmeccanica), a defence technology solutions and services leader, is focused on the defence, intelligence and homeland security markets.

As a member organisation, DRS benefits from direct access to the latest innovations in this increasingly important area of technology through the Centre’s Core research programme. Committing £30k a year, Member organisations also have the opportunity to influence the research direction of the Centre.

The IVHM Centre has now entered its second five years with the Centre’s existing members (Boeing, BAE Systems, Meggitt, Thales, MoD and Alstom), signing up to an evolved model which has an increased focused on applied research. This research is primarily aimed at translating technology solutions developed in its first five years into new products and services for its members.
