Background

Karina holds a BTec Chemistry degree (2016) from Brazil and a BSc Biomedicine degree from Birkbeck, University of London (2019). She recently completed her MRes Global Infectious Diseases (2020) with the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology, a joint institute between UCL and Birkbeck. Her masters research focused on testing antimicrobial peptides against a wide range of bacteria.
