The workshop is about the technologies needed to cyber-defend the future autonomous systems that will be used by the Defence sector or by Industry and Logistics. Started in 2016, NATO IST 152 Research & Technology Group has created the first reference architecture and use cases for Autonomous Intelligent Cyber-defence Agents.

Agenda

In the morning, delegates will be presented the rationale, current state of the art and challenges of autonomous cyber defence, as well as the results of NATO IST 152’s work. In the afternoon, different workshops and one-to-one meetings will discuss hands-on needs and issues as well as defence, industries, security providers and academics’ interest in engaging with autonomous cyber defence technology. Alongside presentations and discussions, there will be a technology exhibition of contributing technologies and research works.

Creating a research & innovation cluster

The workshop aims to assess participants’ interest to kick-start a research & technology community.The workshop will invite participants to express their interest to take part in the Autonomous cyber defence Research & Innovation Cluster that Cranfield sets-up to accelerate the development and evaluation of this technology.

Networking Dinner

On Monday 18 March we will be hosting a networking dinner that delegates are invited to attend prior to the workshop on the 19 March. The dinner will provide an opportunity for networking and to highlight topics and ask questions that delegates would like addressed during the workshop. This networking dinner is open to any delegates attending the workshop.

The networking dinner will take place at the CMDC one of our on campus hotels from 7pm. The cost for the networking dinner is £50 and includes a 3 course meal and wine (or an alternative soft drink if preferred). When registering please indicate whether you are attending the networking dinner.
