Information for Ghanaian students wishing to study a postgraduate programme at Cranfield University
Cranfield University has a vibrant international community and is historically a popular destination for students from Ghana. We currently have 13 students from Ghana studying with us.
As an exclusively postgraduate university, Cranfield represents a unique offering for Ghanaian students thinking of studying in the UK. Students from Ghana benefit from excellent teaching delivered by our world-renowned academics, state-of-the art facilities and real-life industry projects with leading global organisations.
In 2015, Cranfield University has received the prestigious award in recognition of its education and research on water and sanitation for developing countries over a 25-year period. One of the projects acknowledged as part of the award includes the innovative Nano Membrane Toilet which the university has pioneered in conjunction with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Last year, four members of the Nano Membrane Toilet team travelled to Ghana to understand potential users’ views and ideas about the toilet’s design and development, and the university hopes to bring it to Africa for trials soon. Read more about the Nano Membrane Toilet project
Cranfield provides a professional working environment and our Ghanaian students also enjoy campus life and get involved in a wide variety of activities run by Cranfield Student Association.
