There are various ways in which you can come and study with us and benefit from the expertise and network that the University offers its students.
We are currently recruiting PhD candidates to undertake specific management research projects, and you may also propose your own project provided it is positioned within the School’s core research areas. Please refer to our research centre pages for more information on specific research areas and corresponding PhD opportunities. Please feel free to contact members of faculty from each centre for an informal discussion about PhD opportunities.
*Please note that in most cases the above will require students to fund themselves. However, we have information available for applicants in order to help identify appropriate external funding sources. Please also refer to the internal Scholarship information outlined below.

Scholarships (full-time study only)
The School awards six scholarships each year to full-time candidates with outstanding academic records. If you wish to be considered for funding please indicate this clearly in your application form in the specific funding section.
- Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis following the recruitment and selection process. UK, EU or international candidates may be considered.
- Full fees are covered plus a stipend up to the value of £13,726 will be provided each year.
Awards are typically renewed at the beginning of each academic year, on the basis that the student has made good progress and contributed to relevant research activities

Full-time candidates seeking full or partial funding from the School (If you are seeking funding you are advised to submit your more detailed research proposal by January to ensure you can be considered in time to meet this deadline).
31 July (annually for October registration):
Self-funded and sponsored full and part-time candidates.
