"The global water sector supports lives and livelihoods, and is a critical component of the natural environment. In high-income countries, the provision of safe and affordable water services faces unprecedented challenges from growing populations, competing uses for water, and infrastructure deterioration. In low-income countries, the struggle continues to ensure that the most vulnerable people have access to clean and safe water and sanitation. For all of us, the need to adapt to climate change sets a further test.

At Cranfield, our research and expertise in water science and management have been making an impact for some time. We are a trusted research partner for a number of the largest UK water companies, regular advisors to government and regulators, and our 25 years of work in developing countries was recently recognised through award of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher Education. The global water sector offers variety, challenge and reward and our graduates play a huge part in shaping the industry’s future, often serving in very senior roles. Come along and see for yourself."
