Application process and further information

Students in libraryApplication Process

Apply Online

A number of Cranfield’s programmes are highly competitive and we recommend applying as early as possible to secure your place. Once you have submitted your online application you will receive an email to confirm receipt. The Admissions Office will assess your application to ensure that we have all of the information we need to consider whether we can offer you a place on the course.

It will help speed up your application if you are able to supply supporting documents, such as a copy of your previous degree certificate or transcript,  with your online application. We will only require copies of these documents with your application, but original documents may be required as part of your registration with the University. You will be advised nearer the time on this requirement.

If you have a query about studying at Cranfield or need further information about any of our programmes then contact our Enquiries Office or attend one of our Open Days where members of our Admissions team will be available to answer any queries that you may have about the application process.

Course Offers

You will be notified by email once a decision has been made on your application. If we are able to offer you a place on your chosen course the email will include an attachment containing your official course offer (a pdf document) and our standard terms and conditions. By sending our official offers by email we are able to get course offers to applicants more quickly. We do not generally supply paper offer letters, but if one is required to secure sponsorship then please contact our Admissions Office with details of your request.

Unconditional offers

If you receive an unconditional offer, you will have already fulfilled all of the requirements for entry to Cranfield. You can now accept your offer through our online student portal, EVE.

Conditional offers

If you receive a conditional offer, then there are further requirements that you will need to fulfill before you are able to take up your place on the course. It may be that we require evidence of your previous qualifications, English language certificate or other supporting documents. Your offer letter will provide full details of what is still required. You can still accept your offer through our online student portal, EVE, but you will need to satisfy any outstanding conditions prior to your arrival at Cranfield.

If you have any queries about your offer, then please contact the Admissions Office.

International Applicants

If you are an international applicant your course offer will include further information about the Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) where this is a requirement, as well as information about applying for a visa. See our Visas and Immigration page for further information.

We are able to offer an Airport Meeting Service for all new, full-time, overseas fee paying students travelling to the university for the first time from outside the EU. This service is only available when arriving at a London airport. This service can be booked through our student portal, EVE, once you have accepted your course offer.
