Background

Carlos Folle is a Professor of Business Management, Business Policy and Family Business Management at the IEEM, Business School of the University of Montevideo, Uruguay.

His areas of expertise include the design and management of go-to-market strategies through distribution channels, sales force management and its impact on company results, as well as succession, ownership and governance in family businesses. He is a visiting professor at various business schools in Latin America and Europe, and has also consulted in sectors as diverse as the automotive industry, mass consumption of food and beverages, energy, financial services, insurance, and software, as well as corporate governance of family businesses. He was dean of the IEEM, Business School of the University of Montevideo, vice dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences and Economics, and General Administrator of the University of Montevideo. He is a public accountant from the University of the Republic (Uruguay).

He has a Ph.D. in Management from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Spain and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, United Kingdom. He has participated in the Global Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning (GloColl) at Harvard Business School and has completed the Increasing Sales Force Productivity program at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
