He submitted his PhD in Design for Supply Chain at Aston University, employing a Design Science approach to enhance New Product Development.

Prior to this role, he was a Research Associate at Aston University, where he assisted UK-based SMEs in their supply chain diagnostics and bespoke action plans to support their supply chain requirements.

Research opportunities

Filipe has research interests in the organisational behaviour of manufacturing supply chains to promote economic and sustainable outcomes. He is interested in the development of intervention-based research and the design of experiments that study perceptions and motivations across the supply chain.

Current activities

Currently, Filipe works with Professor Aris Matopoulos on the project titled "Reshaping Supply Chains for Positive Social Impact (ReSChape)", which analyses recent social, economic, and environmental changes and disruptions, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and evaluates their impact on supply chains.
