Contact Doc McKerr

Background

Doc graduated from the University of Hull in 2004 with a first class honours degree in Chemistry. In 2006 he commissioned as an officer in the British Army and served a total of seven years within the Royal Engineers operating in Europe, Kenya, Nepal and Afghanistan.

On leaving the army in 2013 he became the first person to walk 1650km solo across the Great Himalaya Trail before completing an MBA at Cranfield School of Management. After graduating, he was an independent consultant before becoming an Executive Development Director.

Current activities

As part of his role within CCED, Doc is developing his knowledge and experience around leadership and culture. He is also developing opportunities with other departments across the University, particularly the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship and looking at how different businesses can benefit from entrepreneurial mindsets and activities.

Clients

Doc is currently working with clients who work in the Energy and Defence and Security sectors. He is also co-developing intrepreneurship and innovative leadership programmes for corporates too.
