Caroline Harris

Background

Caroline Harris is the Events Coordinator for the Sustainable Business Group and Bettany Centre of Entrepreneurship. Her focus is creating impact and outreach through curating engaging extra-curricular events that connect people to the issues of sustainability or develop their entrepreneurial skillset. These events seek to build collaboration within the university and extend our reach externally. Prior to joining Cranfield, she worked in the fashion industry. Witnessing the problems within the industry, she left to seek out opportunities to create positive change. Her passion for promoting sustainable thinking and changes in leadership led her to joining Cranfield in 2020.

Current activities

As part of Cranfield, she was integral to taking the Exploring Sustainable Futures game to COP26 and consequently was nominated for the Green Gown Award by her team.

- Exploring Sustainable Future Game executive workshops

- Start-Up Weekends

- Venture Day

- European Business Plan of the Year Competition (not currently active).

Looking ahead, Caroline is looking to build a stronger platform for knowledge sharing and collaborative working through the event series. She'd like to connect with individuals that are trying to change perspectives of sustainability towards being an integral part of every business no matter how big or small.
