Current activities

Zheng is module leader for Quantitative & Research Methods.  His research interests are in aviation and tourism management, air transport regulation and policy analysis, regional competitiveness and research methodology.

Background

Zheng holds a PhD in Air Transport and Tourism Management from the University of Surrey.  He joined the Department of Air Transport in September 2008.  Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University where he taught tourism and research methods. 

Zheng has research and consultancy experiences in such areas as corporate and management strategies with a particular focus on aviation and tourism, regional competitiveness and research methodology.  He is a frequent speaker and presenter at various research seminars and international conferences.  Zheng is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Air Transport Research Society.
