Driving Simulator
The Driving Simulator incorporates advanced technology to help improve driver training and recruitment. Using the simulator, drivers can be confronted with many different types of hazards and given the opportunity to practice driving skills. Driving simulator training is free of danger, inexpensive and can supplement traditional methods of driver instruction.
The driving simulator is built using the STIsim driving simulator model 300 (Systems Technology Incorporated). The model 300 is a PC-based interactive simulator designed to represent a range of psychomotor divided attention and cognitive tasks involved in driving. The simulation includes vehicle dynamics, visual and auditory feedback and performance measurement system.
