Department of Automotive Engineering

Cranfield University has excelled in providing research and teaching for the automotive sector for over fifty years.

Based within School of Engineering the Department has developed dedicated facilities to support state-of-the-art research and its exceptional links with industry ensure all education programmes provide students with the most relevant knowledge and skills.

The Department of Automotive Engineering, comprised of the Automotive Engineering Group and the Mechatronics Centre, specialises in all aspects of the design of road vehicles, the evaluation of new technologies and the improvement of automotive product engineering processes.

The Department offers MSc, MNPhil, PhD and EngD courses, short courses for industry professionals, research and consultancy and a wide range of specialist facilities that are also available for commercial use.

 

MSc Programmes

We have a range of automotive masters degrees including Automotive Product Engineering MSc and Automotive Technology Management MSc.


CPD/Short courses

Cranfield offers a range of short courses in automotive technology including Chassis Dynamics and Control and Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
