Accident Investigation and Cranfield University

Cranfield University has played a major role in the training and support of accident investigators from around the world for over 30 years. Our special relationship with the UK Aircraft Accidents Investigation Branch of the Department for Transport has helped us to build a range of accident investigation courses that are second to none. More recent collaboration with the AAIB’s sister organizations; the Marine Accident Investigation Branch and Rail Accident Investigation Branch has seen us develop a unique multi modal accident investigation course.
Alumni from the course have investigated accidents on every continent of the world including famous accidents such as the DC10 at Mount Erebus, the B747 at Lockerbie, the B737 at Kegworth and the Concorde at Paris.
