Bryan has been a Workshop Technician since August 2006 working on the manufacturing of components for projects and also supporting students. Bryan is specialised in machining components in the research industry and has over 30 years experience including 15 years within R&D at General Motors and 14 years at BHR Group (formerly British Hydro-mechanical Research Association).

Andrew has been a Senior Technical Officer since 1999. He has over 20 years grinding experience having worked on variety of projects associated with super-abrasive and conventional grinding machines and processes. Andrew is also responsible for the day to day running of the Hexagon Loxham Laboratory.

Alan has been a Technical Officer since 2005 working on the James Webb Space Telescope, Boltzmann Constant, the BoX machine and research into diamond tool wear. Alan supports the work of academics and PhD students within the Centre and specialises in diamond turning. Alan has over 33 years of expertise in an engineering environment including 25 years as a toolmaker within the automotive industry.

Adam has been an apprentice within the Precision Engineering Centre since July 2007. During this time he has been working on a variety of machines and software within our Hexagon Loxham Laboratory and Ultra Precision Machining Laboratory.

Paul has been a Workshop Technician since July 2004. He is specialised in turning, milling, grinding, fitting, eroding, cnc turning and milling. Paul has over 20 years experience in toolmaking with a number of years spent working on development and research projects.
