Testimonials include:

"The MTech is a great idea and a really good way to get both academic and industrial experience. Working with Yorkshire Water has provided me with more opportunities than I would have had with a standard MSc course."

Stephanie Kember, sponsored by Yorkshire Water, MTech Water Processes student 2005-2007

“The structure of the course is excellent as the knowledge gained in the taught modules is immediately put into practice in the form of the design projects. The thesis placement allows one to gain experience in real working environment, and to make contacts with many professionals in the water industry. Lectures are given by both academic staff and industry professionals, often experts in their field, and this ensures that information is current and relevant to today’s water industry. The diverse background of the students enrolled on the course, and the part-time students often already working in the water industry, is useful for knowledge transfer and also further networking within the industry. The reputation of the course and the university within the water industry is excellent. The course will not only enhance the opportunities for employment within the water industry, it will also provide one with the knowledge and experience to be successful.”

Richard Harnett, BEng Chemical Engineering (Nottingham) sponsored by Anglian Water, MTech Water Processes student 2005-2007

“I joined the course because I was interested in water and wanted to discover the engineering side of things through post-grad study, as I had already completed a mechanical engineering degree and had studied fluid flows and hydraulics. I would recommend the course because of the very friendly staff/lecturers who have a lot of time for everyone, which is very important.”

Wassim Choueiri, BEng Mechanical Engineering (Wales)sponsored by Veolia Water Partnership, MTech Water Processes student 2005-2007
