Accreditation
The MSc, PgDip and PgCert in Water Management are accredited by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management
CIWEM is a professional body for engineers, scientists and other professionally qualified personnel engaged in water and environmental management.
This accreditation acknowledges the relevance of the course to the water management practitioner community; the quality of the learning environment at Cranfield University; and the experience and expertise of the teaching team. Most importantly, the accreditation recognises that the students graduating from the MSc, PgDip and PgCert in Water Management have the skills, knowledge, awareness and confidence to find relevant and challenging employment and develop exciting careers.
In addition to recognition of the quality of the course, and the students who graduate from it, accreditation confers benefits on those who complete it.
- Students, whilst registered on a CIWEM accredited course, are eligible for free membership of the Institution
- The transfer fee from Student to Graduate member is waived for those graduating from accredited courses, provided that the application to transfer is received within one year of graduation
- Students on accredited courses do not need to supply transcripts of their degree courses when applying for membership.
The award of the MSc in Water Management is also recognised as contributing to professional assessment towards Chartered status (CEnv) through the Society for the Environment.
