"This course at Cranfield University equipped me with knowledge, research skills, international exposure, and critical practical experience in land management. The GIS module, in particular, played a key role in my appointment as a Lecturer at Kumasi Polytechnic in Ghana".

David Mansell-MoullinMy MSc at Cranfield has proved invaluable, not only by increasing my technical and scientific understanding of natural resource issues, but in helping develop a rewarding international career working on environmental issues associated with energy development projects.

David Mansell-Moullin, Consultant to the Smithsonian Institution, Centre for Conservation Education and Sustainability

"I am now working for the Government of Baluchistan (a province of Pakistan covering 43% of the land area) within the Agriculture and Cooperative Department where, with two others, I am responsible for more than 15,000 permanent Government employees including agriculture scientists and thousands of temporary employees.  My Cranfield experience will definitely help me in running the affairs of such a big department."

Mohammad Hashim Ghilzai, MSc student 2007-2008 (in relation to MSc Land Management, Option in Natural Resource Management)

"I found the course very interesting and diverse. I learnt many practical skills that have since helped me in the workplace. The course has an excellent balance of theory and practical work. Without this MSc I would not have got my current job. It gave me a good grounding in geographical information systems and statistics which I now use on a daily basis."

Marc Turner, English Nature (in relation to MSc Land Management, Option in Ecological Conservation)

"I would recommend the course to other students as they will gain a complete overview of the reclamation and restoration process. Having this broad-based understanding also means that you can look at a wider range of career opportunities."
