The Economics for Natural Resource and Environmental Management programme is directed through an Industrial Advisory Committee which ensures it is aligned to industry needs.

The course also draws on organisational links with government, private and non government sectors through the use of case studies, contributions by practitioners, industry visits, and group and individual thesis projects. These organisations include:

- national bodies such as UK Defra and DFID
- national environmental protection agencies; and
- a diverse range of corporate clients from many industry sectors including: agriculture and food, water, energy, minerals, manufacturing, tourism and transport.
