Professional Training

NSRI are able to offer a broad range of world-class executive short courses and other Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities. Our Cranfield campus in Mid-Bedfordshire is only an hour by train from London and so is well suited for hosting the many environmental and soil-related programmes we offer.
Education and Awareness

There is a growing need and requirement for the development of teaching and learning resources addressing education and awareness of soils-related and wider environmental issues. NSRI’s popular and free-to-access educational web resource www.soil-net.com provides a wealth of stimulating and informative soil resources for school-aged students, their teachers and guardians. Such curriculum-linked resources can be aimed at a range of ages from schools-students and teachers, on to vocational education within the land-based industries. Educational materials can also be provided for other sector stakeholder groups such as agri-business, land resource management and town and country planning. Research is undertaken to establish the effectiveness of such important initiatives, and the alignment of such initiatives to a variety of drivers from school and college curricula to national initiatives and legislation.
