We do this by adopting a systems approach to identifying and tackling root causes in an evidence based manner.
The Centre's academic staff specialise in manufacturing operations strategy, manufacturing systems, innovation, design and modelling, supply chain and manufacturing management, computer simulation techniques, electronic task support and informatics. We work closely with colleagues from other schools and departments. This allows the Manufacturing Systems Centre to address a broad range of business problems in competitive manufacturing operations and services.
The Manufacturing Systems Centre has a constant track record of EPSRC support. It is internationally renowned for its publication record. The Centre is the principal contributor to the Cranfield Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre, the 2nd largest in the UK.
