Design information management
The Design information management team within the Centre leads both fundamental and applied research and development, training, and commercial contracts on ‘Product engineering’ for the aerospace, automotive, defence equipment and domestic product manufacturing industries. Design information management at Cranfield addresses all product related issues ranging from customer requirements and enterprise resource management, to product configuration, design optimisation, costing, manufacturing planning, design and manufacturing knowledge management, business process modelling and quality improvement across the product lifecycle. The research team has extensive expertise and experiences in knowledge management and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to support new product development.
