Current activities

Dr George Prpich is the Course Director for the Environmental Risk Management course within the Environment Programme.

Dr George Prpich joined Cranfield University in 2008 as a Research Fellow working within the Collaborative Centre of Excellence in Understanding and Managing Natural and Environmental Risks. 

Dr Prpich is responsible for leading a research project focused on development of strategic risk methodologies and communication tools for Defra. The project is jointly funded by EPSRC, ESRC, NERC and Defra.

Background

Dr George Prpich is a Chemical Engineer who received his PhD from Queen’s University, Canada. His research interests lie within the area of environmental engineering and environmental biotechnology and include treatment of contaminated soil and water via physical, chemical and biological means. 

Dr Prpich’s wider interests include providing clean drinking water in impoverished areas and development of alternative energy initiatives.
