Background
After completing his BSc in Automation Control and Computer Science (Technical University of Iasi, Romania) and an MSc in Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management (TUIASI), Dr Octavian Niculita undertook his PhD research (TUIASI) as part of the European Doctorate of Sound and Vibration Studies at University of Ferrara, Italy. The experimental data of his PhD program have been carried out at the VM Motori SpA, Cento, Italy, in the area of advanced vibration analysis techniques for machine diagnostics, in particular Diesel engines.
His research interests include data acquisition, signal processing, remote diagnostics, prognostics and health management.
