Background
Dr Jenny Mant graduated in Geography from the University of Portsmouth and then completed a PhD at the same institution where she looked at the impact of vegetation and the response to morphological change in the ephemeral channels of southeast Spain. Prior to joining the River Restoration Centre in 2002 she was part of the RACER (River and Coastal Environment Research) group at Portsmouth University and a researcher in the EU funded MEDALUS (Mediterranean Desertification and Land Use) team. Her work at the River Restoration Centre now includes managing the technical and research project and providing advice on a range of river restoration and management initiatives. She is a member of the British Geomorphological Research Group and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.Selected publications
