Current activities

Dr Ferhat Karaca’s recent research has focused on environmental science and technology. His research interest lies in a multidisciplinary area in the field of environment and energy.

His first international project was a Minerva project related to adaptive adaptable e-learning systems. As an output of  that project he was invited to Brussels to participate in SYMMETRY,  a new integrated management tool developed by EC.

In addition he has worked on several national and international projects as PI, CO, research fellow and advisor. This includes an international project “Effects of indoor air quality on cultural heritages” which focused on the interactions between indoor/outdoor pollutants and surface corrosion/deterioration of the historical items.

Recently, he is working on the topics related to energy and buildings.

He is a research fellow in the project “All in one”, an IDEAS Factory Sandpit project supported by EPSRC.
