Current activities

Dr Andre Daccache is investigating the impact of climate change on agriculture production and irrigation needs. He is also involved in precision irrigation for field scale horticulture and benchmarking irrigation efficiency and productivity.

Dr Andre Daccache's research interests are in analysing the performance of water distribution networks operating on-demand, designing irrigation systems, crop modeling, water resources management and food security.

Background

Dr Andre Daccache is an agricultural engineer with a Masters degree in land and water resources management. He completed his PhD studies at Politecnico di Bari modeling the hydraulic performance of on-demand pressurised water distribution systems. He worked for more than five years as scientific researcher at the GIS and modeling lab of the International Agronomic Mediterranean Institute of Bari (CIHEAM) where he contributed to a number of research projects on irrigation water management.
