Current activities

Dr Andrew Angus is the Course Director for 'Economics for Natural Resource and Environmental Management' on the Environment Programme.

Andrew's recent research has focussed on the land use implications of government strategies to encourage healthier diets, environmental sustainability and animal welfare. This includes work undertaken for DEFRA assessing the environmental impacts of healthier diets (FFG 1004); work for Natural England assessing the contribution of peatland agriculture to food security and a DEFRA funded project analysing the environmental, economic and welfare implications of sheep transport.

Background

Dr Andrew Angus graduated in Environmental Management at Cranfield University in 2000, before completing an MPhil and PhD in Land Economy at the University of Cambridge. Andrew joined Cranfield University as a Research Fellow in Environmental Economics in 2004 and was appointed as Lecturer in Natural Resource Economics in 2008.  His research interests include forecasting resource scarcity and security risks.
