All interview, photography and filming requests must come to the Media Relations team. We can facilitate your visit and arrange access to Cranfield’s facilities, campuses and academic experts.

For commercial production companies
Our campus, facilities, and Cranfield Airport can be used for commercial filming and photography.
Production companies using university locations for filming or photography of this nature will be charged a fee and must obtain relevant permissions and provide documentation as required, for instance public liability insurance and location agreements.
Cranfield University is less than 50 miles from central London and located in rural and discreet surroundings with on-site hotels and ample parking.
The University’s Cranfield site has a range of facilities and locations available for commercial filming – ranging from science laboratories, lecture theatres and a 1940s air traffic control tower to office blocks, accommodation, libraries, hangars, and modern buildings.
Cranfield Airport has hosted several large film productions and can shut airport operations as required. Please contact the Airport directly if you are interested in using this facility.
Cranfield Ordnance Test and Evaluation Centre (COTEC) located on the edge of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, can conduct explosive and pyrotechnic exercises for filming.
