Background
Dr Xinyue Cui joined Cranfield university in April 2023 as a Research Fellow in Sustainable Aviation at Cranfield Environment Centre, School of Water, Energy, and Environment. She attained her Ph.D. in Sustainable Manufacturing Engineering from Loughborough University in December 2022. She also holds an MSc degree with Distinction in Civil and Structural Engineering from Bradford University, as well as a BEng in Engineering (Economic) Management from Yantai University (China). Dr Cui's academic journey underscores her commitment to interdisciplinary excellence. Her expertise encompasses various domains, including data processing/analysis, advanced statistical/mathematical modelling, discrete/continuous event modelling, life cycle assessment, and programming. With a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, economics, management, sustainability, and manufacturing, Dr Cui brings a comprehensive skill set to her research pursuits in promoting sustainable practices within the aviation industry.
