Cranfield Defence and Security (CDS), formerly known as the Defence College of Management and Technology, a Ministry of Defence establishment on the Oxfordshire/Wiltshire borders, is a spectacular campus complete with outdoor heated swimming pool, golf course and a wide variety of other sporting facilities.
CDS integrates the resources of the MoD and Cranfield University to deliver a wide range of postgraduate courses in science, engineering and management related to the defence sector, most of which are open to military and non-military students alike.
We take the lead in academic input, and award our degrees for successful study. Serving officers from the Armed Forces take the lead in demonstrating its practical application.
Shrivenham itself lies in the picturesque Vale of the White Horse, close to the M4 Motorway which links London and South Wales. It is eight miles (12 km) from Swindon, the nearest town, which lies off the M4 at the hub of Britain’s motorway network.
We are well positioned for the rest of the country too, with Bath, Cheltenham, Bristol and Oxford all within an hour’s drive and London less than two hours away.
