Environment and health

Making sure that food, water and living spaces are of high quality and conducive to good health is a priority for all communities. There are many potential health hazards in the environment and identifying sources of contamination and potential contaminant transfer to individuals requires robust scientific investigation and assessment, often with sophisticated modelling.
Furthermore, the response of individuals and communities to these environmental exposures needs to be assessed using the best science, and the process of health impact assessment is becoming ever more sophisticated.
Primarily a desk-based facility, Cranfield’s health expertise is holistic encompassing toxicology, environmental science, risk assessment, information science and programming.
